On October 1, 2015, PPG completed its acquisition of a majority interest in the aerospace and automotive sealants and adhesives business of Le Joint Français (LJF), a long-term licensee of PPG’s aerospace sealant technology. The new joint venture is called Sealants Europe SAS and does business as PPG Aerospace, Sealants Europe. Together, PPG and Sealants Europe are now able to serve aerospace customers with greater geographic reach.
According to Anne Neeson, PPG general manager for Asia Pacific aerospace, “We firmly believe offering Sealants Europe products through our application support center network will significantly improve product lead times, usable shelf life, and customer service support to meet customer expectations.”
“Moving forward, we are committed to building upon our shared strengths to provide our customers with the most advanced aerospace sealants products, services and solutions to meet their evolving needs. As we continue to progress, our goal will be to improve upon our capabilities and overall levels of support,” Neeson said.
