During the ceremony, guests reviewed major milestones in the century-old history of the Chinese coatings industry as well as the role that the China Coating Industry Association has played in promoting the growth of the industry since its establishment 30 years ago.
“As a major player in the Chinese coatings market, PPG is dedicated to meeting the demand of local customers,” Wu said. “We have launched a host of waterborne coatings products in China and plan to launch more eco-friendly products for various applications here to help customers comply with stricter environmental requirements for coatings products. With industry-leading technologies and an in-depth understanding of the Chinese market, PPG is well positioned to enhance its leadership in promoting the sustainable development of China's coatings industry.”
As a global leader in the coatings industry with a history of more than 130 years, PPG has been committed to the Chinese coatings market since entering the country in the 1980s. Over the past 30 years, PPG has brought world-class coating technologies and solutions to the Chinese market and established leadership in many market segments.
“We are honored to have won three awards at the celebration event,” Yan said. “This recognition affirms the achievements of PPG China in the past three decades. Our success in the global market can be attributed to our foresight in developing strategies and a corporate culture of excellence. We hope to share our management philosophies with our Chinese peers so that we can together propel the sustainable development of the Chinese coatings industry."
